The client owns a plot of land in the suburbs and has always wanted to create a cozy "lightweight home" as their vacation retreat. The simple design, easy installation, and environmentally friendly Apple Cabin became their optimal choice.
During the needs assessment process, several key points were discussed: First, climate compatibility: Puerto Rico has a tropical maritime climate, with high temperatures and heavy rainfall year-round. Therefore, the team and the client ultimately decided to use thickened, waterproof aluminum panels for the exterior walls, while optimizing the cabin structure for reinforcement.
Second, home functionality: For this requirement, both parties engaged in multiple rounds of design discussions, ultimately deciding on a design where both 20-foot Apple Cabins feature a first-floor leisure area and a second-floor residential area.
The packaging and reinforcement plan for the cabin was confirmed during the sea freight process from China to San Juan Port, Puerto Rico, to prevent damage during transport; a detailed installation manual was also provided, and technical personnel were arranged to remotely guide the local installation team.
